Yakult has once again been recognised by the World Branding Forum (WBF), receiving the “Brand of the Year” Global Award at the 2025 World Branding Awards, announced on 18th November. This latest honour marks Yakult’s 9th consecutive year of global recognition since 2017, an achievement that reflects the brand’s enduring trust and relevance worldwide. The World Branding Awards celebrate outstanding brands from across the globe, recognising those that demonstrate consistent performance, strong consumer connection, and international impact. Yakult’s Global Award places it among a selected group of brands acknowledged for excellence beyond national and regional markets.
Today, Yakult is sold in 40 countries and regions worldwide, with approximately 38 million bottles enjoyed every day around the world (FY2024). Brands are evaluated through a comprehensive process conducted by the World Branding Forum, combining brand valuation, global consumer research, and public online voting. This multi-layered approach ensures that winning brands are recognised not only for commercial strength, but also for consumer confidence and brand credibility.
At Yakult Australia, this continued recognition reinforces our commitment to advancing health through science and innovation. Guided by the Yakult Group’s corporate philosophy and the principles of Shirota-ism, established by our founder Dr. Minoru Shirota 91 years ago, we remain focused on promoting gut health and providing accessible, preventative health to consumers within Australia and New Zealand.
