On the 14th of June 2004, Yakult Australia Pty Ltd introduced Yakult fermented milk drink to New Zealand and surrounding areas.
A dietitian for Yakult Australia says, “When people think of the term bacteria this often has a negative connotation. However, the bacteria in Yakult is what we refer to as a beneficial bacteria. We have between 300-500 different types of bacteria in our digestive system and it is vital to maintain a balance. We recommend drinking one bottle of Yakult per day to contribute to achieving optimum intestinal health”.
Our sales & warehouse operation is based in Penrose and local sales and administrative staff are involved in the importing, storage and sales of Yakult throughout Auckland, Waikato and the Bay of Plenty. With indications of strong demand from New Zealand, Yakult is available for consumers to purchase in major supermarket chains, independent supermarkets, Asian grocers and health stores in the area.
